Vita Transplantare was John Nielsen Hall's "journal of the plague year", which started in April 2020 and was published biweekly until July that year. The plague was of course Covid and Hall was at particular risk because his immune system had been suppressed following a kidney transplant (hence the title) in November 2019. After July 2020 the diary format was dropped and the schedule became roughly monthly. Eventually it ran to 29 issues, all now hosted at eFanzines.com, where it shares an index page with Hall's Motorway Dreamer. There was a long gap between issues 27 and 28 -- when he had moved to the UK seaside town Morecambe and the title changed to VT -- and more than a year passed before the final issue dated April 2024.
