The Best of Elmer T. Hack is a 60-page, one-shot fanzine published in 1979 by Jim Barker and Chris Evans. It collects a series of comic strips, 'Half Life: The Life and Times of Elmer T. Hack', drawn by Barker and appearing in the BSFA's journal Vector from #82 (August 1977). They record the history of a hack sf writer with many of the strips featuring cameos of real pros, mainly British.
