Talk:Mike Zaharakis

There is an brief account of part of Mike Zaharakis non-fannish later life in California at https://www.hometemple.org/WanBishWeb%20Complete.pdf. This account has him dying at a hospital in San Francisco, not a location in Mexico as stated on the Find-a-Grave page. Based on that and other sources not at hand just now, I thought he died at a Veteran's Administration hospital, not in a small town in southwestern Mexico. Is the account in Wandering Bishops credible? That account also has some of Mike's ashes dispersed at sea and other ashes held by the author of Wandering Bishops. No doubt pointless for me to be concerned with the location of Mike's death, long after his role in sf fandom.

A couple days later: According to California Death Index, Mike Zaharakis died in San Francisco. I've suggested the correction be made at Findagrave.com. His obituary in the Oregonian on July 14,1984, also lists San Francisco as location of death.
