A bid to host the 1984 Worldcon in Los Angeles. Initially, the bid was fairly straight-forward, playing with 1984 being the Year of the Rat but it switched and ran on a platform of pure evil -- we'll give you the 1984 Worldcon you always expected". Upon winning it went on to run L.A.con II.

The bid was chaired by Craig Miller, Milt Stevens and Bruce Pelz.

Its competition was DC in '84, Kent in 1984, and Ingolstadt in 1984. See 1984 Worldcon Site Selection.
