For obvious reasons this method of fastening the pages of a fanzine together is rarely met with, but 'tis said the most primitive multipage fanzine is hektoed and handstitched. Charles Wells once went this formula one better by writing out the masters for a fanzine in longhand, then hektoing and handstitching the product.
