Orangecon '78 was held March 17-19, 1978 at the Hilton Inn South in Orlando, FL. Andre Norton was Special Guest.
The first Andre Norton Award, honoring women in SF, was presented to Andre Norton. It was chaired by Adrienne Hayworth and sponsored by the League of Science Fiction's Southern Fandom.
