A droog is one of a group of rowdy, and often drunken and belligerent, attendees at cons. The term comes from Anthony Burgess' 1962 novel, A Clockwork Orange, but only came into this use in the 1990s.
Droogs typically come in packs. They may or may not wear hall costumes, but they are not to be confused with drobes.
