Originally scheduled to be held from May 28-31 at the Warner Center Marriott Woodland Hills, with the outbreak of COVID-19, SFWA made the decision to reimagine the event as a three day on-line convention, running from May 29-31, including multiple tracks of live on-line programming, room parties, a dance party hosted by John Scalzi, the SFWA Mentor program, chat rooms, and more in an attempt to try to recreate the social and networking experience as well as the panel experience of attending the Nebula Conference.

The Nebula Award banquet was cancelled, but the award ceremony is scheduled to take place as a live stream on Saturday, May 30 with Aydrea Walden serving as the emcee.
