Lodestar Award
The WSFS Award For Best Young Adult Book, which was first presented in in 2018 under that title, since then as the Lodestar Award. While it is not a Hugo Award, it is part of the same nominating and voting process as the Hugo Awards and the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer, and it is awarded during the Hugo ceremony at Worldcon each year. The winner receives an engraved plaque.
There are no hard-and-fast eligibility rules for this category, and no specified word count limits; the WSFS Constitution specifies only that it be "given for a book published for young adult readers in the field of science fiction or fantasy appearing for the first time during the previous calendar year". Works may be eligible both in this category and in one of the Hugo Award fiction categories.
