Brian Michael Stableford, a British SF writer with a Ph.D. in Sociology, published more than 70 novels and more than a hundred shorter works beginning in the 60s. He occasionally used the pseudonym Brian Craig.
Besides his own SF, he has done a large amount of translation from French. He won the Pilgrim Award in 1999.
In the ’60s he co-edited the fanzine Proteus.
