An American pro writer known for his Black Company, and his Garrett, PI fantasy series. He attended Clarion, but for most of his writing career, he worked at a GM auto assembly plant, writing in his spare time. He is now retired, but reports that he was more productive when he was part-time! He also was a huckster at conventions.
