A Chicago-area "maker" convention spun off from DucKon following a rift in their concom, this convention does not have a science fiction focus, despite its roots, but rather bills itself as a "celebration of music and the hands-on arts." It does have a sizable contingent of filkers in attendance. Although Musecon 1 took place in 2011, a Musecon 0 was held in 2010 with a limited membership to run as a proof of concept. Following MuseCon 7 in 2017. the Board of Directors announced the cessation of the convention.
