In 2019, the Campbell Award was renamed the Astounding Award (in full The Astounding Award for Best New Writer) after Campbell's politics were denounced by that year's winner, Jeanette Ng, in an acceptance speech which went on to win the following year's Hugo Award for Best Related Work.
