The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic forced conventions to cancel across the globe from Mid-March 2020 onwards. Mike Lowrey cancelled his TAFF trip.
CoNZealand, the 2020 Worldcon decided, with less than 4 months notice, to hold a virtual Worldcon, the first of its kind.
