Clarke is an Australian SF fan living in the Sydney area and married to fellow fan Sue Clarke. At one time he edited the fanzines Eos, M31, The Mentor, The Sydney Futurian, Watt's Out, and Wombat. With Sue Clarke, he published Simon and Ark.
