Sandra Frances Nemzek was born February 7, 1938 to Francis Edwal Nemzek and Ethel Elnore Bennett.

Miss Sandra Frances Nemzek became Gary David Bethke's bride in 1958.

She was called Maia Nemzek in her mother's 1982 obituary.

Her FamilySearch page, which lists neither of her known spouses (because, as far as I can tell, they're still alive), claims she died March 10, 2001 in Oakland, CA. It also says she sometimes used the name Cassandra Nemzek. — Bee Ostrowsky (talk) 16:11, 17 April 2023 (PDT)

This sounds like a good match ... the woman we’re looking for had three daughters. I suppose she could have had three kids and a divorce between 1958 and 1963 — that’s quick, though it does appear her children were born in 1958, 1961 and 1962.

Pete Nemzek

As far as I can tell, Pete was her first cousin; their common grandfather was Leo Peter Nemzek (1887–1969). City directories show Pete's parents, Leo Peter Nemzek (Jr.) and his wife Ruth, living in Pasadena from 1953 to 1966, during which time "Pete Nemzek" wrote in Minac 14 (with a PO box in downtown Los Angeles) that he was one who's about to be Snapped Up by the Air Force, and this tombstone suggests that he was indeed.

But what makes me think he went by Pete? The only evidence so far is that his mother's obit called him Peter. But I think that's sufficient. — Bee Ostrowsky (talk) 09:41, 18 April 2023 (PDT)
