A project in the 1980s by Kurt Baty to index all of science fiction -- every story, every magazine, every book, every printing. Baty issued looseleaf quarterly updates, but the project foundered when the data grew so large it crashed the Reflex Plus on the Macintosh database software he was using. Baty tried for years to get a fix, but the product had died and there was no easy way to transfer the data to another system, so the project became moribund.
