Born Pearl Ellen Merat, Terri Pinckard was a Los Angeles-area fan, who, with her husband Tom Pinckard, hosted The Pinckard Salon for area SF celebrities during the late 1960s-early 1970s.

She was born in New Jersey and moved to California with her family before 1950. Married to Louis Bartfield in the 1950s, they were both involved in fandom in Los Angeles. She began using the name Terri at this time. They adopted a child together, Cheri. They where divorced by 1962. Terri married Tom Pinckard in 1962 and they had three children together.
