Eastercon 48, Intervention, 4th in the Wincon series, was held March 28-31, 1997 (Easter) in Liverpool, UK. The GoHs were Brian Aldiss, Jon Bing, Octavia Butler, and Dave Langford.

It was chaired by John Richards and the committee was John Bark, Janet Barron, Keith Coslett, Andy Croft, Steve Green, Geoff Hill, Heidi Lyshol, Pat McMurray, Val Phillips, Phil Plumbly, Anne-Marie Wright, and Pete Wright.
