Eastercon 43, Illumination, was held in Blackpool during Easter 1992. The GoHs were Geoff Ryman, Paul McAuley, and Pam Wells. Rhodri James was the convention chair with the rest of the committee an amalgamation of Sheffield and London based fandom: Amanda Baker, John Bray, Dave Clements, Dave Cooper, Alice Lawson, Steve Lawson, Nick Mills, and Anne Page.
The fireworks display onto the beach was remarkable, with concussion setting off car fire alarms like bleating sheep, and Blackpool's trams sailing past backlit by the glare.
