The 2006 Worldcon and sixth in L.A., L.A.con IV was held August 23-27 2006 in the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim Hilton, and Anaheim Marriott in Anaheim, CA. GoHs: Connie Willis (author), James Gurney (artist), Howard DeVore (fan), Frankie Thomas (special). Fan GoH Howard DeVore and Special Guest Frankie Thomas both died before the convention. Chaired by Christian B. McGuire.
It formed from the LA in 2006 bid and hosted the 2008 Worldcon Site Selection.
The convention was run by SCIFI.
