Edward Groff Conklin, a leading SF anthologist, edited 40 anthologies of science fiction. He wrote books on home improvement, and was a freelance writer on scientific subjects. He was also a published poet.
From 1950 to 1955, he was the book review editor for Galaxy Science Fiction magazine. He was a judge for the IFA. He was a member of the Hydra Club.
