Louisiana-born author of science fiction, fantasy and horror who lives in Texas. His fantasy series The Divine Cities was a finalist for the 2018 Hugo Award for Best Series, and the first novel in it, City of Stairs, was nominated for World Fantasy and British Fantasy Awards.
