Beginning with the July, 1958, issue, Space Travel was the new title of the SF/fantasy magazine Imaginative Tales, that had begun with a September, 1954, issue.

The total run of the new title was only three issues. The last issue was dated November, 1958.

Space Travel was bi-monthly, alternating months with Imagination.

The editor of Space Travel, William L. Hamling, was also editor of Imagination, another SF/fantasy magazine published by Greenleaf Publishing Co. of Evanston, Illinois.
