Farmercon I was an informal gathering on July 30-31, 2006 in Peoria, IL when Paul Spiteri visited Peoria during a trip through the US. He suggested that regular contributors to Farmerphile join him and with some other people who heard about it, about thirty people (including Philip José Farmer and his wife) attended. There was a dinner on Saturday night and visits to the Farmer house.
