"Flowers for Algernon" by Daniel Keyes has the distinction of having been nominated in three different forms in four different categories:
- The original story won the Best Short Fiction Hugo.
- The novel it was expanded into was a runner-up for the Best Novel Hugo.
- The teleplay The Two Worlds of Charlie Gordon, based on the short story, was nominated for the Best Dramatic Presentation Hugo.
- The movie Charly, based on the novel, was nominated for the Best Dramatic Presentation Hugo.
Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game achieved two nominations.
