The 2012 Best Fancast Hugo was presented September 2, 2012 at Chicon 7.
This year's award was administered under section 3.3.17 of the WSFS Constitution, the Additional Category clause. The same year, a constitutional amendment to make the category permanent was ratified, having been passed on from Renovation.
