Robert Lynn (Yang the Nauseating) Asprin became active in fandom in the 1970. He was an early filker and one of the founders of the Dorsai Irregulars. He originated the idea for The Capture which Phil Foglio later wrote and illustrated.
In the 80s he began a pro career, primarily focusing on humorous sf and fantasy.
