An American pro writer who is best known for helping to define the cyberpunk genre. He was also one of the first organizers of the Turkey City Writer's Workshop, and is a frequent attendee at the Sycamore Hill Writer's Workshop. In the 1980s, he edited the critical fanzine Cheap Truth, under the pseudonym of Vincent Omniaveritas and he wrote a column called Catscan, critical prozine, SF Eye.
