Cora Buhlert is a prolific speculative fiction blogger and reviewer from Bremen, Germany. A teacher and translator, she holds an MA degree in English from the University of Bremen and is currently working towards her PhD. She has been writing since she was a teenager, and has published stories, articles and poetry in various international magazines and is an independently-published author. With Jessica Rydill, she edits the Speculative Fiction Showcase. In addition, she writes for the Hugo-nominated fanzine Galactic Journey, which reviews SF works and magazines from the viewpoint of 55 years in the past. She created the 1945 Retro Hugo Eligibility Spreadsheet, a comprehensive listing of eligible 1944 works with links to read the available works to encourage participation in the Retro Hugos in 2020, and the Retro Science Fiction Reviews blog site, where she collects reviews written by anyone of the Retro-Hugo-eligible works.

Buhlert has been a finalist for the Best Fan Writer Hugo once, and has been longlisted for that award a further 2 times.
