DeepSouthCon 12 (also called AgaCon '74) was held August 23-25, 1974 in Atlanta, GA. Membership was 178. Chaired by Joe Celko and Sam Gastfriend. Ken Moore won the Rebel Award and George Alec Effinger was the Phoenix winner. There apparently was no GoH.
In its advertising, Agacon '74 described itself as "Masquerade Ball...Medieval Tournaments...Round-the-Clock Movies...Poul Anderson ...Thomas Burnett Swann ...Cabaret...Joe Green ...Huckster Tables... In short, Agacon '74 is a Science Fiction Mardi Gras."
See Joe Celko's Post Con Report.
