The Shirley Jackson Awards were established to honor outstanding achievement in the literature of psychological suspense, horror, and the dark fantastic.

The Awards, named for author Shirley Jackson, are given in a number of categories.

The first awards were presented in 2007. Winner of the first best novel award was Elizabeth Hand for Generation Loss (Small Beer Press).
