-'''Charles Lee Riddle''' became active in [[fandom]] in 1948 when he joined the [[N3F]].  He published ''[[Peon]]'' (a large fanzines with a big circulation) which was nominated for the [[1956 Best Fanzine Hugo]], ''[[Meuhpeon]]'', and ''[[Leer]]'' (for [[OMPA]]).  He was in the US Navy (publishing ''[[Peon]]'' during that time), retiring from it in the early 60s.    He co-edited ''[[Tightbeam]]'' in 1963.   [[Ira Lee Riddle]] is his son.
