John Van Couvering, aka VanC, was a Los Angeles-area fan, active in the 1950s. He was a member of The Outlander Society and one of the editors of, and contributed artwork to, the clubzine The Outlander. He published Sine Nomen.
He belonged to Young Fandom as well. He famously wrecked a glass door by accidentally walking through it.
