A (presumably) spoof award which was given out at least once at an "alternate Nebula banquet" in Denver, CO in 1976.
The nominees for Best Rejection Slip were:
- Damon Knight because it was pre-printed with a long-obsolete address
- Ted White for returning a manuscript he had requested be revised with a slip saying that all manuscripts are returned unless accompanied by a 25 cent reading fee.
- Roger Elwood for his cordial, but printed with the salutation "Dear Author", rejection slip with the handwritten comment "Well written and beautifully typed, but cannot be used at present!"
The winner was Roger Elwood.
