FenCon VIII was a convention held from September 17-19, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza North Dallas in Addison, TX. The Guests of Honor were Spider Robinson & Jeanne Robinson, Jeff Bohnhoff & Maya Bohnhoff (music), Kevin Roche & Andrew Trembley (fan), John Picacio (artist), John Randall (science).
It was chaired by Julie Barrett, attendance was 724, the toastmaster was Joe R. Lansdale and the theme was "Mad Science." Jessica Wade and Robert J. Sawyer were special guests.
Jeanne Robinson died earlier in the year, but was still a GoH. Spider was also unable to attend in person, although he appeared via internet video conferencing.
