Windycon XXIII was a convention held from November 8-10, 1996 at the Hyatt Regency Woodfield in Schaumburg, IL. Guests of Honor: Lois McMaster Bujold, Randy Asplund-Faith, Christian Ready, Tom Barber, Tara Barber. The theme was "Twister 30th Anniversary Tournament."
Toastmaster: Barry B. Longyear. Chair: Bill Roper. ISFiC Guests: George Alec Effinger, Ricia Mainhardt, Julius Schwartz. The ISFiC Writers Contest winner was "All Through the House," by C. T. Fluhr.
