Forrest C. Davis, a Portland, OR, fan active in the 1940s and early ’50s, was a member of the Portland Science-Fantasy Society.

At NorWesCon, the 1950 Worldcon, he put on a presentation about “Diacybersemnetimantics,” under the pseudonym Theobald Mackerel, that was noteworthy enough to earn an entry in Fancyclopedia 2.

He pubbed the fanzine INCINERATIONS -- from effigy with his wife, Ruth Newbury, in 1950 from their Grape Press publishing house. Shortly after that, they apparently gafiated, having moved to southern Oregon shortly before NorWesCon.
