Chicago in 2022 was a Worldcon bid for 2022 adumbrated by Dave McCarty and then turned into a bid chaired by McCarty and Helen Montgomery for a convention to be held in mid- to late-August. It beat Jeddicon by 517 votes to 33 (see 2022 Site Selection) and resulted in Chicon 8.
It was sponsored by Chicago in 2022 Worldcon, a 501(c)(3) organization.
