Tom White was a British fan from Bradford active in the 1950s. He was a member of the Bradford Science Fiction Association where he first met his later co-editor Mal Ashworth. After the demise of the Bradford group at the end of 1953 they launched the fanzine BEM with help from Derek Pickles and the Leeds group's duplicator. White and Ashworth later joined the Leeds group. White attended the London SF Con and Mancon in 1952, and the Supermancon of 1954. He was a founder member of OMPA, albeit only contributing to the first two mailings.

He gafiated between the fifth (September 1955) and sixth and final (Summer 1958) issues of BEM. Ashworth maintained his presence in that last issue through reprints from OMPA.

He was married to Betty White. Ashworth referred to them as 'Uncle Tom' and 'Auntie Betty' in My First Real Convention (September 1954).
