A United States fanzine publisher and member of N3F, he was the editor of the combined TNFF/Tightbeam from 2008 - 2011. He also has belonged to several APAs, including FAPA, LASFAPA, N'APA, and APA-L (of which he is OE).
He studied journalism at Northwestern University. After graduating, he worked at CIO and Fast Company magazines. As of 2013, he was an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California.
He started the Heath Row Amateur Press Association Collection at the University of Iowa in February 2010 which includes several APAs from 1934-2010.
In 2015 he was elected to the Directorate of the National Fantasy Fan Federation. He once served as Chair of this governing body.
