The Western Australia Science Fiction Achievement Awards, nowadays presented annually by the Western Australian Science Fiction Foundation at Swancon.
The Silver Swan and the Tin Duck[edit]
Western Australian fandom also has a Silver Swan Award, and Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, is on the Swan River. So, it may be natural to suppose that the Silver Swan Award was the first of the two. However, the Tin Duck Award was presented years before the Silver Swan Award, and appears to have been named after a logo that was dubbed "the Tin Duck", although it had probably been intended to depict a swan.
