David Brin

(1950 --)

A pro writer and astrophysicist who mostly writes hard SF. He won the 1982 Campbell Award. About half of Brin's works are in his Uplift Universe, including the classic Startide Rising.

Brin was GoH at the 2007 Worldcon, Nippon 2007.
