In performance filk, participants take turns presenting solo songs (which are nonetheless often harmonized or otherwise joined in by the audience, unless explicitly requested otherwise). Generally done either in filk circles, or filk concerts (where performers do multiple songs in a row). As opposed to hymnal filk.
