Eastercon 16, Brumcon II, was held at the Midland Hotel in Birmingham, UK over Easter, April 16-18, 1965. The GoH was Harry Harrison. The committee was Ken Cheslin, Roger G. Peyton, Mike Higgs, and Charlie Winstone and the Birmingham Group.
The Loncon 2 committee announced the Hugo nominations. Reuters reported that attendance was "70 men and 6 women" and describes that Harry Harrison's GoH speech "in an hour-long address, attacked the Salvation Army band playing outside, threw a meat pie at a friend in the hall, and satirized the writers who will attend the World Science Fiction Convention in London in August."
