There is an brief account of Mike Zaharakis non-fannish later life in California at https://www.hometemple.org/WanBishWeb%20Complete.pdf. This account has him dying in San Francisco, not a location in Mexico as stated on his tombstone photograph shown at Find-a-Grave. For some long time, I thought he died at a Veteran's Administration hospital. Is the account in Wandering Bishops credible? That account also has some of Mike's ashes dispersed at sea and other ashes held by the author of Wandering Bishops.
