He was a member of the [[Supermancon]] in [[Manchester, UK]] in 1954 but it's not known if he attended and he likely didn't as no accounts mention a New Zealander. He had a letter published in ''[[Authentic Science Fiction]]'' #45 (May 1954) seeking back issues and expressing an interest in meeting fellow fans in New Zealand.
