[[Scott Imes]], who was running the department making a video record of [[MidAmeriCon]], the 1976 [[Worldcon]], organized a convention January 1-4, 1976 at the St Andrews Hotel in Minneapolis to train [[fans]] who wanted to participate.  Topics included audio, color and monocolor video workshops, technical and ethical problems in magnetic tape recording, equipment maintenance and operation, and creation of a [[fannish]] magnetic tape library.
