Baycon-the-Westercon ([[Westercon]] 14) was held July 1-2, [[1961]] at the Hotel Leamington, in [[Oakland, CA]]. GoH: [[Fritz Leiber]], [[FGoH]]: [[Jack Speer]].  [[Chaired]] by: [[Honey Wood]], and sponsored by [[Golden Gate Futurian Society]].

"Baycon" as a convention name has a complicated history, with two [[Westercons]], a [[Worldcon]] and at least one [[regional]] using that name.  This [[Westercon]] (#14) appears to have been the first to use the name.
