From April 7-9, [[1956]] a [[relaxicon]] called "Relaxacon" was held in the Carmel Valley of central California. It was organized by [[Les Cole]], and attracted 18 people, mainly [[pros]] including [[Forrest J Ackerman]], [[Evelyn Gold]], [[Anthony Boucher]], [[Mildred Clingerman]], [[Miriam Allen de Ford]], [[Roy Squires]], [[Mari Wolf]], [[Mel Sturais]] and others.
